Charles Miller and Earl Lanning

Rifle

Earl Lanning made and decorated the rifle with help and encouragement from many friends including Charles Miller. The barrel was given to Earl by William Melton – a friend from Ashville, N.C. The barrel’s origin was the Sipsey River of Alabama and is quite possibly from the era that the rifle purports to be from – the first quarter of the 19th Century.

Tomahawk

Richard Gutherie forged the blade of the Tomahawk. Charles Miller completed the piece while Earl Lanning did the decoration.

Earl Lanning and Roger Anderson

Knife

Roger Anderson forged the blade. Charles Miller built the knife and Earl lanning did the decoration.

Powder Measure

The powder measure was made by Charles Miller.

Powder Horn

The powder horn was made by John Barrett in a southern tradition.
