Rick Lorenzen and Kathy England Horn

This powder horn was built by Rick Lorenzen and scrimshawed by Kathy England. The scrimshaw is a near-documentary copy of that on the Captain Edward Brown Horn, shown on the cover of the book, "Powder Horns, Documents of History"', by Tom Grinslade. The horn is 12 3/4" in length with a plain, slightly domed plug.

Horn by Sash David and Kathy England

Large flattened Scottish powder horn. Form and decoration typical of the late 17th- early 18th century. Approximately 14" in length. The "Schotland and No Union" quote refers to popular objection to the dissolution of the Scottish Parliament, and  Scotland's "hostile takeover" by the English parliament in 1707 during the reign of Queen Anne.
